Information about Dr. Shinichi Suzuki and the Suzuki method can be found at the Suzuki Association of the Americas website. Information about teacher availability is located at the Find a Teacher page. Other common questions are addressed below.

Is there a teacher in my area?

Our teachers are located across the Ottawa and Gatineau area. Teachers currently accepting students are listed by location on the Find a Teacher page. If you do not see a teacher listed for your area it means that there is currently no-one available.

What costs are involved?

There is an annual registration fee of $140 per child (for families with more than one student the cost is lower) to cover the costs of recitals and group activities. Our teachers determine their own private studio fees. For more information please contact individual teachers.

Where are you located?

Our teachers' studios are located across the Ottawa and Gatineau area. In addition to private lessons, students take part in recitals, workshops, and group classes. These take place in local churches and schools. We use venues such as the University of Ottawa, St. Andrew's Church on Kent and Wellington, Bromley Road Baptist Church, and Ashbury College, among others.

My child will be 3 next September. Is s/he ready to start piano lessons?

The Suzuki Piano Method encourages an early start in piano learning. For some children, 3 years of age is appropriate to start learning a musical instrument. Our teachers can help you to determine whether your child is ready for lessons.
